Departmental Writing Requirement Accounting, Business Administration and Economics

Students who major in Accounting, Economics, or Business Adminstration are required to take one of the following:

• ECO 3318 - European Economic History
• ECO 3326 - Economic Development
• ENG 1103 - Introduction to Journalism
• ENG 2107 - Business Writing
• ENG 2204 - Advanced News Reporting
• ENG 2208 - Advanced Composition
• ENG 2212 - Professional Communication
• ENG 2214 - Editing and Desktop Publishing
• ENG 3307 - Social Media: Rhetoric and Design
• ENG 3308 - Writing in Law and Policy
• ENG 3309 - Approaches to Everyday Discourse

Notes:

Successful completion of Mathematics 1001 or placement above Mathematics 1001 is required before a student may register for any Accounting course or Economics 1101.

Successful completion of both Mathematics 1001 and 1002 or placement above Mathematics 1002 is required before a student may register for any courses in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
