ASL Studies Minor


By the end of the program, students must demonstrate competence in American Sign Language (ASL) by completing ASL 2212 with a B- or better.  Students wishing to minor in ASL Studies are advised to begin their language study as early as possible.

    This is encouraged, but not required.  May live in the ASL House for one year or attend Gallaudet University for a semester as a visiting student.  Contact the Department Chair for more information.

     

    American Sign Language courses (ASL I-IV) may be waived through a placement examination before the beginning of classes.  Students who have taken American Sign Language courses elsewhere must take the placement examination before registering.
