Overview
Contact: Dr. Margaret Pfaff McDaniel College’s newly revised Curriculum and Instruction program is now our M.S. in Innovations in Teaching and Learning (ITL). The ITL degree is ideal for all educators who want a learning experience that is grounded in the theory, applications, and tools needed in today’s classrooms. The program is designed to provide professional growth specific to the needs of each adult learner and embeds pedagogy that is relevant to the needs of the PreK - 12 learner. Admissions Requirements
Candidates required to submit: - application for graduate study
- official transcript conferring bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- one reference form completed by a teaching colleague or supervisor.
Course Requirements
All candidates in the ITL program will complete 33 credit hours which includes ten courses and a final capstone project. The recommended course sequence follows. All courses are 3 credits unless otherwise noted. Specialization: ITL with Administrator I Certification
Students have the option of a specialized program that meets the course requirements needed for the ITL masters as well as the MSDE Administrator I Certification. The completion of a post-degree internship (EDL 552) is required for the MSDE Administrator I endorsement. The internship may be completed after the conferral of the master’s degree. |
