Professor Caldwell (Department Chair); Senior Lecturers Engler and Kirkpatrick;  Adjunct Lecturers Anderson, Andrews, Currie, Duree, Ensor, Fleming, Griffith, Hirsh, Holthause, Jenkins, Motter, Niles, Osifchin, Reider, Samb, Sirois, Smith, Tung, and Zeigler.

Areas of particular teaching interest: Caldwell: theory and composition, music technology, music history; Engler: voice, musical theatre, choir, acappella ensemble; Kirkpatrick: band, flute, and orchestra.

The Music Department provides opportunities for the non-major student to develop musical skills by offering courses for both disciplined growth and creative development. Faculty, students, and ensembles such as the College Choir, Band, Gospel Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and other performance ensembles regularly present recitals and concerts.

Ensembles, applied music studies (lessons), and learning labs are all repeatable for credit. Each semester in these courses, students will engage with a variety of new musical compositions.

College policy limits the number of credit hours taken in vocal and instrumental ensembles such as MUE 1101-1129 to eight of the 128 hours required for graduation. Ensembles can be audited once the maximum number of credits is reached.
