Required:

• CSC 1106 - The Art of Programming
• MAT 1112 - Introduction to Math Modeling in STEM
• MAT 1117 - Calculus I
• MAT 1118 - Calculus II
• MAT 2218 - Linear Algebra
• MAT 2219 - Calculus III
• MAT 2224 - Fundamentals of Mathematics
• MAT 3112 - Intermediate Math Modeling
• MAT 3304 - Differential Equations
• MAT 3391 - Mathematics Problems Seminar (Four hours are required. This will necessitate taking the course in two different semesters.)
• MAT 4250 - Capstone Experience in Applied Mathematics
• MAT 4405 - Real Analysis I
• MAT 4406 - Abstract Algebra

Electives:

• Two Applied Math Electives at the 2000 level or higher

Departmental Writing Requirement:

Students who major in Applied Mathematics are required to take MAT-3391 and ONE of the following courses any semester after the first year.

• ENG 2206 - Creative Writing—Poetry
• ENG 2207 - Creative Writing—Fiction
• ENG 2208 - Advanced Composition
• ENG 2212 - Professional Communication
• PHI 3200 - Writing in Philosophy
• Any 3000 level History (HIS) course
