ENV 2122 - Global Environmental JusticeCredits: 4 In this course, students will learn about the history and ongoing challenge of how people, institutions, governments, and non-governmental organizations seek to address the uneven effects of climate change, pollution, land-grabs, and under-development around the world. There will be an emphasis on understanding the local effects of global environmental problems and how seeking environmental justice can help address these problems right now and in the future. Relations between developing and developed nations and the rôle of politics and policy (local and global) will be examined throughout.
