Elementary/Secondary Education MS


Overview

This program offers graduate students the opportunity to self-design an academic plan in collaboration with the program coordinator to meet a student’s individual professional needs. This program does not lead to state certification.

Admissions Requirements


Candidates required to submit:

  • application for graduate study with non-refundable fee
  • official transcripts conferring bachelor’s degree (minimum 2.75 GPA) from an accredited institution
  • submitted two reference forms

Courses


Candidates should schedule a meeting with the program coordinator upon initial admission to develop their individual program of study. The program of study will likely include but not be limited to courses in assessment, curriculum, instruction, technology, and research. Coursework completed in McDaniel’s certificate programs is applicable to this degree. The program requires a capstone experience of the candidate’s choice; either synthesis project or thesis.

Total credit hours: 30 with thesis or 33 with synthesis project
